About Bahia
Growing up in a musical family, I heard music around me all the time. I started taking piano lessons when I was five years old, and have continued studying music ever since. I feel like music was a gift given to me by my family and my many wonderful teachers, and teaching is one way I can give back.
Every Student Is Unique
Each person comes to learning music in their own way, with their own individual goals, and prior experience. It is my goal as a teacher to honor that, and help facilitate the best learning experience for each student.
Guitar
The guitar is a very versatile instrument. It can be warm and soulful or brash and aggressive. I studied classical guitar, and I write my own folk songs and I love being able to express myself in both mediums. I have had students who loved rock and roll and students who loved classical. I enjoy giving my students the knowledge they need to go in the direction they want to with their music.
